“Our ambition is that our wines should travel through the ages and still delight wine lovers in 50 or 100 years’ time, in the same way that today we enjoy drinking the wines of our predecessors.”

Frédéric Weber, cellar master, expresses what the Bouchard Père & Fils winery represents.

Founded in Beaune in the heart of Burgundy’s climats nearly three centuries ago, Bouchard Père & Fils cultivates the quest for excellence and the transmission of knowledge to the great delight of wine lovers. Of the 130 hectares of its estate, three-quarters are Premiers Crus and Grands Crus, including: Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, Meursault, Volnay, Pommard, Clos Saint-Landry, Clos de la Mousse, Vigne de l’Enfant Jésus, Corton, Corton-Charlemagne, Bonnes-Mares, Clos de Vougeot, Chambertin… We do not make the wine, we help to nurture it so that it blossoms naturally to it. Cultivation and vinification parcel by parcel, it is all about craft skills, where listening and observing take priority over action, so that the terroir is able to express itself as precisely and naturally as possible.

François Perroy’s text and Jean-Marc Blache’s photographic narrative invite us to discover this winery through the pages of this book in which elegance is combined with respect and the desire to share.
